Einfach nur schön! Als Kind habe ich diese Schönheit sicher nicht wahrgenommen, jedenfalls nicht wissentlich. Aber schöne Gefühle hat die Landschaft bestimmt hinterlassen, auch wenn es nicht die Lofoten waren.

Vielen dank, Klausbernd. The arrangement is Dina’s, but the camera was with us all the time. The sights were sometimes so incredibly breathtaking, and it was impossible to catch them on camera. Your eyes and your mind see one thing, and when you’re trying to catch it, unfortunately, the camera is not able to reflect the awesome feeling the view and the sights are giving you. Even when the rain came hammering down, the light and the feeling was awesome.

I suppose the problem with photography is that it`s basically static. Did you ever come across Goethe`s “Faust”? There you find the idea, if you will say to moment “stay” then your soul will be the devil`s. And probably this is the effect of photography, too: If you freeze the moment, isolate it from it`s wholeness, then the soul has gone. But what`s the soul? Probably that feeling of wholeness and therefore reality grips you more than the picture of it – Dina disagrees, oh dear!
One the other hand the photographer gives his or her soul into the picture by choosing the lighting, the perspective and so on. But it`s a picture and a picture of reality is a picture of reality …

Wir halten an unserem Sommerhaus am Sonntag bewegen. Alles ist weg von Juli, aber online ist. Rasmus wird mit uns sein.
