Winter is on its way! No need to get upset about that. 🙂 A winterday up Far North can be a magic encounter with nature as here in Fredrikstad, my native city. In Norway, the main indor activity ist reading. According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, Norwegians read more than any other nation in the world.
More than 2000 new titles are published annually in my home country. About 10% of these are novels, poetry and short stories by Norwegian authors. Among the best known Norwegian writers today are Lars Saabye Christensen, Dag Solstad, Jan Kjærstad, Per Petterson, Knut Faldbakken, Jostein Gaarder, Jo Nesbø, Kjell Askildsen, Roy Jacobsen, Anne Holt, Unni Lindell, Herbjørg Wassmo, Anne B. Ragde and Bjørg Vik and…
Klausbernd Vollmar and our bookfairies have read most of them and comment regularly on Scandinavian literature.

Ja, Dina-Hanne, vinteren er flott, ypperlig egnet for å lese bøker. Hva leser du for øyeblikket?

Eure Einladung, Karl-Ove Knausgard vorzustellen freut mich wirklich sehr.

Tusen takk, liebe Mara!
