Really beautiful quote and photo! I just finished reading a novel “The Neruda Case” by Roberto Ampuero – I think you would enjoy it. The dying poet is a central character – a kind of mystery/detective story.

Thank a lot for this fine recommendation, Emma – I have ordered the book and am very much looking forward to reading it.:-)
I love the eloquently spohisticated poetry of Pablo Neruda. His poems are beautifully written, filled with metaphors and symbols and an incredible word choice that leaves me and many others breathless and left him with the Nobel Prize.
Have you seen the film “Il postino?” I can strongly recommend it.. a gem.
Happy Easter, all the best
Dina

In Jamaica we don’t have spring. I miss the changing seasons. It is very warm and Kingston’s drought still hasn’t broken. But I thought I would share this beautiful photograph and quote for Good Friday evening, for a little freshness and beauty. I just finished reading “The Neruda Case,” a delightful novel by Roberto Ampuero in which the poet plays a pivotal role. My review of the book is coming up shortly…
