    sehr schöne Fotos von der Liebe….
    Ich finde es interessant, dass eine ganze Brücke voller Schlösser ist. Von wem stammt bloß diese Idee?????

    • Liebe Susanne, ich habe keine Ahnung wie und wo diese Idee anfing. Weiß das jemand?
      Does anyone know who and where the first love-padlocks on bridges apeared? In Cologne, the padlocks are welcome and the city make sure they can all rust in peace next to the cathedral. It was a big scandal last year as somebody tried to steel them to make money out of the material. In Venedig the city react allergic to the padlocks. If you try to place on the Rialtobridge; the fine is 3000 €.

      Jetzt habe noch etwas länger gegoogelt und dieses gefunden: Die Sitte stammt aus einem Roman:

      Es geht wohl zurück auf den Roman “Ich steh auf Dich” des italienischen Schrifstellers Federico Moccia. Er lässt die Liebenden seines Buches ein Schloss an der Milvischen Brücke in Rom anbringen – und irgendwie ist das Phänomen dann nach Venedig gewandert und von hier in die ganze Welt. Inzwischen hängen Liebes-Schlösser in Paris, Madrid, Litauen, Ungarn, Südkorea und sogar an der Chinesischen Mauer.

    • Danke, Hanne, das finde ich sehr interessant mit dem Roman. Da sieht man, was für Wellen eine Idee schlagen kann.
      Irgendwo habe ich gelesen, dass die Statik der Brücke unter den Schlössern leidet, ich weiss aber nicht mehr wo.
      Noch mehr Schlösser als letztes Jahr, das ist viel. Ich werde schauen, wie es ausschaut im August.

      This bridge ist the beautiful Hohenzollernbrücke in Cologne. The Cathedral at the end of the bridge is the most famous building in Cologne, the landmark of the city. It’s one of the top ten attractions of Germany. The photo is the taken in front of Hyatt Hotel, on the other side of the River Rhine. From hier you have a magnificent view on the Altstad of Cologne, one of my favourite spots.

    • It’s growing indeed, tons and tons! 🙂 I went there last August, I’m sure there are several thousand more there today. At the end of August this year Susanne Haun is having an exhibition in Cologne. When I go there, I’ll inspect the bridge again.:-)

      Thanks for the link; there’s difference between Cologne and Venice. In Venice the city really dosen’t like the padlocks and they’ll fine you 3000 € if you try to place a lock. In Cologne Lovers from all over the world are very welcome to deposit a token of their love. This bridge is a growing attraction. Growin indeed! 🙂

Ich vermisse meinen “Wingert”-küchenblick über ganz Bonn hin und wiede,r immer noch und bei schönem Wetter konnte ich bis Köln und Koblenz sehen. Meine Mitschwestern vermisse ich auch. Lioba traf ich überraschend vor 1 Jahr als ich das letzte Mal in Bonn war. Ist nun auch schon wieder zu lang her.   34. Liebe Dina,
    mich erinnern die Winnie-the-Pooh-Zitate an meinen werthen Großvater. Er war ein großer Winnie-the-Pooh-Fan und von ihm bekam ich auch meine erste Winnie-the-Pooh-Ausgabe geschenkt. Das hatte natürlich – wie vieles bei uns – pädagogische Gründe, damit ich nämlich besser Englisch lernen würde. Aber mein Großvater, der ein großer Nietzsche-Anhänger war, fand nach Nietzsche A.A. Milne einen großen Philosophen und schwärmte für “Winnie the Pooh” als geniales philosophisches Werk.
    Danke für die Erinnerung an den großen Autor Milne, der übrigens am Trinity College in Cambridge Mathematik studiert hatte (siehe Dinas und meine Artikel über Colleges in Cambridge auf unseren Blogs).

    • Yes, It’s an installation. Love padlocks (also known as love locks and, in Taiwan, wish locks) are a custom by which padlocks are affixed to a fence, gate, bridge or similar public fixture by sweethearts at an increasing number of locations in the world to symbolize their everlasting love.
      There are varied explanations for the origin of love padlocks. In Europe, love padlocks started appearing in the early 2000s. The reasons love padlocks started to appear vary between locations, and in many instances are unsourced. However, in Rome, the ritual of affixing love padlocks to the bridge Ponte Milvio can be attributed to the book “I Want You” by Italian author Federico Moccia, who later made it into the film-adaptation Ho voglia di te.

  46. Was für schöne Fotos. Da kann man allen die dort ihre Liebe “anschlossen” nur wünschen, dass die Liebe mindestens ebensolange hält, wie die Schlösser brauchen um durch Rost zu zerfallen.
