Life Close To The Arctic

Many of you are familiar with the fine work of the Norwegian Nikon Ambassador Hans H Bjørstad. And of course his impressive avatar in the water! 🙂 He has been blogging for a long time and I sort of feel sorry for all the older post about the natural beauty in Norway that are falling behind, more or less suppressed by the latest ones. I’m sure you’re all familiar with this feeling in retrospect of earlier work. On my request Hans is showing us what it is like to live close to the Arctic. Thank you very much Hans! Please give him a visit and enjoy his captures of the Norwegian landscape.

At the request of Dina I create this post.
Most images are shown earlier.
The images are from many parts of Norway,
in different seasons.
Maybe they will entice you to a visit?
It’s unusual for me to to make a post with so many photos.
Please, be indulgent with me!

  1. I ‘liked’ the original Dina. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos of Norway, it certainly looks enticing! Just a shame it is so expensive there, makes it hard to consider visiting, when you are living on a pension…
Best wishes from Norfolk as always. Pete. (and Ollie!)

    • Dear Pete and dearest Ollie,
yes, it’s a shame Norway is so very expensive to visit and travel. Especially when it comes to finding a place to sleep and then go out dining and all those things that are really nice to do when you’re on a vacation. Please feel welcome to come and see us in Cley (Rhu Sila), this trip shouldn’t be too hard on your pension. 🙂
Love to you and dear Ollie from
      Klausbernd and Dina

  2. Dina 🙂 what an inspirational photographer you’ve introduced us to. That gravatar just sums up his dedication. I clicked on all the pix to enlarge to get a better view of the details – just sumptuous. The feeling one gets is the awesome depth of the place, the raw power of mountains and water, nature conspiring in rich colours and elements. Wonderful!!

  3. Thank you so much for taking a closer, Liz. It’s highly appreciated! You have to enlarge the photos to capture the true beauty of the landscape and the quality of the photos. I think the two of you both have very fine and expressive gravatars. Have a lovely Sunday.
Rainy greetings from coast of Norfolk

  4. Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing. A member of my church is second generation Norwegian/American. He has made several trips to Norway. A good friend of his from Norway visits the U.S. at least once a year and has promised accommodations anytime I wish to visit. I am hoping to travel there and take in the beauty first hand.

  6. God Norway is so fucking beautiful. You live inside a Tolkien novel.
I imagine the cities and towns are smelly and horrible like everywhere else but the countryside – uegh. Breathtakingly beautiful. Superb photography. Thank you.
