Can you spot the local samphire in our bunch from the salt marshes in Morston, just a few steps from our Bookfayrie home?
Unfortunately the time is gone when one picks samphire for eating, but for decoration is fine now – or what do you think? It was our beloved Dina’s idea!

Habt Ihr den Samphire in unserem Strauß aus den Salzmarschen in Morston, gleich um die Ecke von unserem Haus, entdeckt? Leider ist jetzt die Zeit vorbei, um Samphire zum Essen zu sammeln. Aber eignet er sich nicht toll zur Dekoration? Das war übrigens Dinas geniale Idee.

Have a wonderful time, everyone! We are now off to Switzerland and the Black Forest having a holiday without any electronic gadgets. So we say “bye, bye”. We will be back for Christmas. See you then here again 🙂 🙂
Wir wünschen Euch allen eine wunderschöne Zeit. Bei uns geht’s nun ab in die Schweiz und in den Schwarzwald, wo wir einen elektronikfreien Urlaub verbringen. Zu Weihnachten werden wir wieder zu Hause in unserem gemütlichen Buchfeenhaus sein. Dann melden wir uns wieder, versprochen!

    P.S.: Absolut ohne elektronische Kommunikation konnte ich bei unserer Deutschlandreise nicht auskommen, denn ab und zu kamen wichtige E-Mails rein. Und per Computer/Smartphone haben wir auch ab und zu unseren Anrufbeantworter [Festnetz] hier in Fredericksburg abgehört.

  17. I didn’t know samphire came in different colours – I do know that I like eating it with fish – yummy! Have a wonderful time and warn those Bookfayries not to eat too much chocolate cake or else they won’t be able to fly up to the top of the Christmas tree when they get back home 😉

  20. Meine Güte, was sieht das schön aus, und so etwas kann man essen?? Ich staune…und die Schönheit der Fotos hat mich dermaßen wuschig gemacht, dass ich doch glatt anstelle von “elektronikfrei” *erotikfrei* gelesen hab, etwas stutzte und Gottseidank noch einmal konzentrierter las *Lach* Wunderbare elektronikfreie, aber dennoch vielleicht erotische Auszeit wünsche ich euch von Hezen.

  36. Eine wunderschöne, erholsame Zeit wünsche ich euch von Herzen. Bei jedem Rasenmähen habe ich an euch gedacht, wahrscheinlich, weil es immer dann an der Zeit war, wenn ich eure schönen Beiträge gelesen habe. Auch wenn die Zeit nun erst einmal vorüber ist, wird es andere Dinge geben, die mich an Euch denken lassen. Samphire werden es wohl nicht sein, die kannte ich bis jetzt noch gar nicht – aber versteckte Bücher oder verlegte Einkaufszettel oder Lesebrillen lassen mich an Siri und Selma denken … Und da das in letzter Zeit immer mehr wird, brauche ich vielleicht auch mal eine kleine Erholungszeit im (Thüringer)Wald oder es sind doch die Cousinchen eurer Feen, die sich dauerhaft bei mir eingefunden haben?

  43. Mit diesem bunten Strauß in mind können wir es ein paar Tage ohne euch aushalten…
    Findet man einfach so am Strand oder muss man tief tauchen um es zu finden? Ah, ich erinnere mich, eine Schlammschlacht!
    Guuuute Reise euch! Warum die Schwarzwaldmädels so Bollerhüte tragen, würde ich auch gerne mal wissen…
