“Multiple exposures” is a new feature on the Fujifilm X-T4 camera and our Dina had to try it out immediately.
We have to pose for Dina all the time now. Our dear Master is exhausted, he’s getting himself a drink.
Bye for now

Go light on the tonic – we don’t have much of it!”

Lieber Pit,
habe ganz herzlichen Dank 🙏🙏👍
Nochmal ganz herzlichen Dank. Das hat uns echt geholfen.
Halte dich wacker

Guten Morgen, liebe Susanne,

Actually, it’s totally fascinating, a multilayered arty piece with a history and strong connection.
Do you know the work of Idris Khan? Khan’s works rely on a continuous process of creating and erasing, or adding new layers whilst retaining traces of what has gone before. Your piece of work reminds me of his sentiment. Well done!

Dina wanted to produce a surreal picture of our dear Master as he became known for his books and TV programmes about dreams. And what could be more surreal than dreams?

The day before yesterday we had a long photo session on the beach. Well, we do it just for fun and trying out the new camera but easily fun becomes hard work.
Have a happy week

A fascinating portrait – monstrous at first glance but then the composition unfolds. Each image invites us to read the character’s thoughts. Combined, they express some form of relationship between the two. The result is a very effective picture.

Dear Louis,
you describe exactly what Dina wanted to achieve. One could call it surreal or the different layers of a personality.
Our dear Master loves this portrait very much 🙂
Thanks for your comment.

Thanks, dear Curt.
Indeed, it is. It’s surely inspired by Picasso’s portraits without being aware of it when Dina produced this portrait. Kandinsky once said, producers of pictures have to know a lot but during the production of the picture they must have forgotten all their knowledge.

Sorry I’m late…oh, so funny!! I love it. It’s easy to imagine Dina trying out the new features on the camera and Klausbernd growing weary…yes, time for a drink, but I do look forward to seeing what interesting images will come from the multiple exposure feature. Have fun!! 🙂

Dear Lynn,
it is fun playing around with these multiple exposures. Nevertheless, the modelling is quite hard work as Dina needs a lot of pictures to be able to choose two or more that fit well together. Of course, these multiple exposures should make sense. They should show realities behind the surface. It shouldn’t be just multiple exposures for the sake of multiple exposures.
Thank you very much. Wishing you a happy weekend

Liebe Cley´s!
Könnte man noch definieren, was erwachsen bedeutet…

Liebes Pialein,

Was natürlich Quatsch ist.

How fascinating! A portrait that tells a story or maybe that tells the thoughts of the sitter.
I hope you are all keeping well on the north Norfolk coast.
Best wishes, Clare 🙂 🙂

Good morning, dear Clare,
we are fine here at the North Norfolk coast. The tourists are back but not in big numbers like in southern England’s sea resorts. Our beaches are not crowded.
Indeed, this portrait shows the thoughts of the sitter and tells a story. It brings the past and now together.
Thanks for your comment.

Glad you had a bit of rest! And corona, well, we think the strategy is working well. What is not working is the way it got into our elderly homes with multi diagnosed people. The care system for very old and sick people is built on many people working there instead of few well educated people. We have for many years criticized this system, where you can be taken care of by some 20 different people in a week… Now it clearly shows this must be changed. Sad it is to have lost many lives that could have been saved. We have very few now on IVA care, and very few severe cases. The amount of tested people is increasing though, so the corona infected seem to be increasing. But that is not the case.
We are all doing well, and we are also aware of the somewhat strange view from abroad on our situation. A bit sorry about Denmark’s attitude as the situation in Skåne is the same as in Copenhagen! Hope you and your friends are well too!

Thank you very much, dear Leya, for presenting your view from inside Sweden. Dina looks at the Swedish situation from its presentation in the Norwegian papers. Here in the UK you hardly get any infos about Sweden.
We are happy to hear that you are well. We are well too but in general the UK reacted much too late for political reasons and there are lot of new infections every day, much more than in the European countries. But we feel safe here in rural Norfolk.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend
